George Bass Art Prize

This event was an inaugural one for artists having an association with Phillip Island, Victoria, which celebrated the discovery of the island by George Bass in 1797, following his 600 mile voyage from Sydney Cove. I was very honoured to be awarded the prize as winner of this exhibition, judged by Dr Sheridan Palmer. My thanks to Peter Walker, owner and director of Leeson Street Gallery, to the sponsor who so generously put up the prize money, and my congratulations to all the other finalists.

Florence Biennale Paintings

I was thrilled to be participating again in the XV Florence Biennale, held at the Fortezza da Basso, Florence, from 18-26 October 2025. The theme, 'Light and Darkness', is reflected in my paintings, 'Night Storm' and 'Morning Storm'. In previous years, this has been a wonderful opportunity to meet many international artists and visitors. This year was no exception; the exhibition was the most successful ever, and It was a very memorable event as can be seen in the photos in Exhibitions 2025
